We Are Hiring – Cancer Support Specialist – CHI at Crumlin

Cancer Fund for Children in partnership with the Katie Nugent Fund and Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, Dublin (CHI) are partnering to deliver direct support to children and young people diagnosed with cancer and their families.

We are recruiting for a new Cancer Support Specialist role, based at CHI at Crumlin who will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to deliver social and emotional support to families who are there for cancer treatment.

The role and responsibility of the Cancer Support Specialist is to provide direct  support to families during their time in the Haematology/Oncology department through informal individual social and emotional support, with planned group opportunities for young people and parents were appropriate.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our services team who are committed to ensuring that children, young people and their families impacted by cancer receive the emotional support they need throughout their cancer journey.

We welcome applications from people with a recognised professional qualification in one of the following:

• SOCIAL WORK
• COMMUNITY YOUTH WORK
• PLAY THERAPY
• NURSING
• THERAPEUTIC DISCIPLINE

Or other relevant professional qualifications.
