Make a Difference
Cancer Fund for Children provides practical and emotional support to children diagnosed with cancer and their families including the opportunity to have a therapeutic short break at our therapeutic centre Daisy Lodge, in Newcastle, Co. Down.
However, for every one family from Ireland we can support, there are seven we cannot help due to the demand for our services. Therefore, we are building a new therapeutic centre Daisy Lodge in Cong, Co Mayo to ensure all families across Ireland receive the emotional support they need.
We have purchased a site on the beautiful shores of Lough Corrib, beside Cong Village in Co. Mayo, and secured full planning permission for Daisy Lodge. We have now launched a capital appeal to raise €12.5m to build and open Ireland’s first dedicated short break facility for children diagnosed with cancer and their families.
